Acknowledgements: The vast majority of the information presented in this Manual comes from original work undertaken by a team of anaesthetist authors under the auspices of the Australian Patient Safety Foundation (APSF). The content is based on a series of anaesthesia crisis management protocols published by this team in 2005. The following Manual also contains some valuable web page process modifications by Dr Charles Bradfield, FANZCA, MBBCh, DA(SA). There are also links to some excellent resuscitation algorithms in the public access web pages of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and the Resuscitation Council of the United Kingdom (Resuscitation [UK] ).
